Victorian Commode Chair Up for auction is a solid oak arm chair/commode ~ also known as a "potty" chair. This chair can be used as a sitting chair (a pillow is advised for comfort), or as a decorative accent piece by opening the double lid and place a large fern or other plant in the opening. Weight of the chair is 35-37lbs Chair back measures 40" from the floor, is 22" wide and approximately 19" deep. The seat of the chair (when closed) is 17 3/4" from the floor.
