This "Sword" was sold to me by an antique dealer, some 20 years ago as an original prop for Shakespearean plays and theatre. It has adorned our walls since then but due to downsizing...it has to go. Please see enlarged pictures for maximum detail.. The item is some 41 inches long, with a truly magnificent hilt which still retains some gilding; I presume in the Italian style. The slim (blunt), slightly triangular blade has developed a lovely patina with age, as I used to keep it protected with a thin coat of wax. There is a very slight bend in the blade, please see pictures. The binding on the hilt has always been frayed ever since I have had it, just adds to its age. A lovely piece as a wall hanger, a must for a collector of theatre artifacts. I had paid a fair amount even then and though there is no reserve, I maintain the right to take it off sale if the bids are inadequate. Postage estimated at £6.00 (ignore postage shown) NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS.
