's an outstanding collection of Victorian Trade Cards that includes over 50 different advertisers. The album has an impressed Patent date of March 1876. Numerous trade cards are also dated in the early 1880's and most of them are from the Marion and Rochester, NY area. Some of the advertisers include; Acme Soap, Ayer's Cathartic Pills, Austen's Cologne, Brooks Spool Cotton, Bassetts Horehound Troches, Botanical Preparations, Burdock Blood Bitters, Clark's Spool Cotton, Celluloid Starch, Crossman Bro's Seeds, Dr. Thomas Eclectric Oil, F.A. Wilcox Watches/Clocks, Gordon's Dry Good Millinery, Hovey's Sunday Gloss Starch, H. Lesser Linens-Notions, Hoyt's German Cologne, Hulbert's Oyster Bay Dining Hall, Harris Shoes, Holmes Dry Goods, J&P Coats Best Six Cord, Kendall Manuf., Lautz Bros & Co. Soaps, Lutted S.P. Cough Drops, Parker's Tonic, White Sewing Machines, Wise Axle Grease and many more. All cards are glued into the album. The pages are browned from age and have brittle edges. A couple of the pages have come loose from the spine and the front cover has come away from the spine but back cover is still tied into the spine. T are over 130 Trade Cards and very few fillers and cut out pictures. A good share of the cards show adorable children and animals, along with 7 or 8 Black Americana Cards. T is also a calling card of "Orra McOmber" on the inside cover. The Album is 8 1/2 x 11 and is quite worn around the edges, but still a fantastic piece to add to your collection.
