c1880 Rare Victorian fairing trinket box by Conta Boehme-Germany. Two young girls are sitting on a bench, each holding a kitten. This box is from my personal collection, I have never seen another like it. I could not find it in Janice Vogel's book on Conta Boehme porcelain either. The condition is very good with a few minor flaws. Some of the white flowers trimming the edge of the lid are chipped, and t is a small chip to the rim of the base. Both girls and kittens are perfect. The box measures 3 1/2" tall by 3" wide. The underside of the lid is marked with the Conta Boehme shield impressed mark also numbers. This is a rare fairing box for the serious collector. Please ask questions if you would like to clarify anything. Good Luck!!!
