I have for sale this very attractive Victorian silver plated trowel This was made by Fattorini & Sons Goldsmiths Bradford It is complete with it's original case which is superb quality Trowel is inscribed in Welsh and read "Cyflwynedig gan Egwys Rehoboth Briton Ferry i John Davies YSW Briton Ferry Gorphenaf 20 fed 1899" Roughly translated it reads "Presented by Rehoboth Church Briton Ferry to John Davies Esq Briton Ferry 20th July 1899" This is a great quality item , trowel measures approx 280mm (11") Condition is very good , surface of the trowel has plate loss from cleaning This I think was presented approx 50 years after the church was built and would have been used for some sort of anniversary or memorial service It is rare enough to find one of these in this condition , and rarer still to find one in Welsh Fantastic collector's item Thanks for looking please check out my other items , I will always combine postage where possible
