I have for auction a very unusual DINNER BELL Silver Plate Cruet Set. The stand is approx. 16" tall. The top of the handle flows into a gothic oval with a bust of a colonial man. The handle proceeds down to a bell, which is struck with a hand device that hits the bell to make it ring. Under the bell is this inscription - "Patent -Reissued Dec. 27, 1859 " The platform which holds six cruets is approx. 25 ½" in circum. The circumference of the stand is an intricate design of intertwined ropes with acorns, connected into circles (see picture). Below the ropes are six 1" long floral/acorn designs. The Stand has a lovely scalloped base. Under the base is a logo of a warrior with a bow and arrow in his hands and a star to the left of his head, the numbers are 3500 and underneath is the number 8. The stand is a lovely piece of art - it's strong and has no dents or scratches - it does have one missing acorn, which I only discovered when I was inspecting it. The cruets I have with the stand are five - three match, two do not. The three that match are: one covered small (mustard) which is in perfect condition and has the rope design on cover, one (vinegar) w/o top, perfect condition; one (oil) with stopper, small chip on fluted underside of bottle. The other small (mustard) is perfect and the (vinegar) perfect. Finding vintage replacement
