This is a Limited Edition, "Victory In Europe" Fairbairn Sykes knife, made by Wilkinson Sword of London. It was part of a series, issued by The American Historical Foundation of Richmond Virginia, named "The World War II Victory Collection". Both sides of the 6 7/8" blade are heavily engraved and highly polished. One side has engraved, in gold,"Mission Fulfilled"/ General Dwight D. Eisenhower. The other side has In Honor of World War II/Victory In Europe/8 May 1945. The guard and pommel are gold plated, with a serial number of 514 on the blade, just above the guard. The knife is in beautiful condition except for two small spots, on the guard, w the gold plate has flaked. The handle is a dark, highly polished wood, either oak or walnut. The black velvet presentation case is in excellent condition. This is a rare and very collectible piece. I will start the bidding at $50.00 US, with a very reasonable reserve. I ship only within the United States. The shipping rate is 15.00 US, which includes insurance. By bidding, you are stating that you are 18 years of age or older. Thank you for looking, and good luck!
