This wonderful bronze Art Nouveau 19th century centerpiece likely comes from Vienna Austria. There are no markings, but this piece is of museum quality and has a rich and multi-colored patina that reflects its age. May come from the factory of Franz Bergman. Features polychrome cold painted and gilded decorations. This centerpiece has a scalloped shell shape, with detailed engine-turned designs in floral and diaper motifs. A small bird poised for flight stands on a twig with painted flowers to each side. Arching twig handle features prominent leaves and a flower in center.
