V. Aistars ,a refugee from Communist occupied Latvia graduated from the Art Institute in Chicago Il.Later moved to Kalamazoo Mi. Proficient in varied media, oils watercolors and charcoal pencil.Has had over 50 personal exhibits aall over the U.S. Aside from his work in many privatecollections many hang in museums in Latvia. One of his oil paintings hangs in Riga Castle, thepresident's residence in Riga, Latvia.With frame the dimensions of the watercolor are 20" X 16", the picture itself is 15" X 16".It is in good condition.
