PRT -4A Transmitter/ PRR-9 Receiver Set Bought in Box and removed only for pictures! You are bidding on the above items that have been refurbed and sealed in the box. I was lucky to stumble onto these as they are drying up fast. Both the transmitter and receiver have been sealed since they were refurbed. They look as good as new as the refurb center did their job. The transmitter is designed to hook on a belt and be hand held during operation. The transmitter has 2 channels to select but do not know what frequencies have been installed. T are CH-1 and CH-2 but is possible they are the same frequency. Usually, 51MHz and 52MHz but t is no rule of thumb. Battery Uses a BA-399/U 15 Volt Battery . Although t are 4 socket holes , only 2 are used. The bottom of the battery box is open and the battery is exposed to the elements from the bottom but the transmitter usually rests in its canvas case on your belt. A NOS BA-399 measures 14.5 Volts open circuit. However, they are no longer made. Kits have been available from several sources to use (2) 9V batteries or you can solder 9 AAA batteries to obtain the 15V needed. The antenna is 6" long when collapsed and 25" long extended.
