#7340-00 MIL -K-8662E GS-07F-40050 Ontario Knife Company 9/90 AKA the Camillus Vietnam Era Survival Knife (Type 2 - with the 5" blade instead of the 6") AKA the Type 4 Navy Jet Pilots Knife Apparently this blade was issued to Navy Pilots and Army Huey Pilot crews. This knife is sometimes mistaken for the Ka Bar Marine knife. Sheath is real leather with accidental cut through metal plate. The sharpening stone is no longer included. The buttcap is fixed and does not screw off. The core of this knife is a solid piece of steel and is super durable. 5" blade 9 1/2" Overall Natural Leather Handle Steel Buttcap This knife is tarnished however t is no rust and it has been stored in a dry environment. The leather is still pliable and not dry rotted. T is a marking on the sheath in marker "GS5440" - I don't know what this means. It has also been etched into the metal handle.
