WORLD WIDE SHIPPING Vietnam Special Force MACV-SOG RT CCN Sterling Ring / Command and Control North (CCN) / ULTRA Rare We are offering an Excellent used condition DESCRIPTION : This is an one (1) Vietnam Special Force / Green Berets / MACV-SOG (Military Assistance Command, Vietnam - Studies and Observation Group) RT Command and Control North (CCN) Sterling Ring . MACV-SOG - Command and Control North (CCN) When the decision was made by MACV-SOG headquarters to decentralize and establish three major field commands, the northern command was activated on 1 nov 1967 at Danang. This command was designated as the MACV-SOG Command and Control - North (CCN). Activation Included combining the resources of Forward Operating BASE 1 ( FOB 1) - located at Phu Bai , Forward Operating BASE 3 ( FOB 3) - located at Khe Sanh , Forward Operating BASE 4 ( FOB 4) - located at Marble Mountain ,just outside Danang, These resources were supplemented with personnel from the 5th SFGp and the new Command Also Incorporated the NAVAL ADVISORY Detachment (Navy SEALs ).CCN Cross border operations were targeted towards North Vietnam and Laos. Operations into southern Laos were code named "SHINING BRASS" and had started in 1965 in an effort to disrupt the personnel and material infiltration route in that area. Eventually SHINNING BRASS would be renamed "PRAIRIE FIRE" and when the forces were turned over to STDAT, the operation was renaed PHU DUNG.
