This auction is for one rear seam, swivel bale American M1 infantry helmet from the Vietnam War era (all internal components dating to 1968).

The Steel Helmet:

This is a rear seam, swivel bale M1 helmet. It has T-1 left/right OD#7 green cotton webbing chin straps with the anchor logo.

Condition Statement: The strap webbing is in used condition with the strap hardware showing normal wear. The steel shell has no dents and no stress cracks. T is light surface rust in spots. The paint/silica is good with only minor use rubs and scrapes. The rim is tight and complete.

The Liner:

This is a Type I (Infantry) liner dome-stamped âeoeM16âe and complete with all parts present. It has all webbing, âeoeAâe washer/rivets, a proper head band and nape strap.

Condition Statement: The suspension liner webbing is in good, used condition with light soiling/fading. The liner shell has no cracks and no breaks. T is light edge fraying. The paint/silica is very good with use rubs/scrapes. The black âeoeAâe washers are straight and clean.
