***Uncommon Viking Ball From Denmark***

In Tucson 2007 I got to go to some new venues and as a result I found some new suppliers. This supplier specialized in Bulgarian minerals but also had Nuumite and Viking Balls. This unusual stone is described in Melody's newest book on page 838. Melody's New book-encyclopedia is a huge hardcover book weighing over 10 lbs ! It is called " Love Is in the Earth - the Crystal and Mineral Encyclopedia - the Liite Fantastic and the Last Testament".

Viking Balls are considered fossils and were formed from siliceous algae about 65 million years ago. They are located at Mons Klint Cliffs which are on the Baltic Sea in Denmark. They were originally mined as crushers in the gold industry. In 1960 the mining ceased when the area became a national park. Now they are only collected from the beach when washed up by winter storms. According to Melody these stones never need cleansing or clearing and will cleanse any environment that it resides in. It is also used to remove negativity from ones thoughts and actions.

This particular Viking Ball measures 1 1/8" by 1 1/16" by 15/16" and weighs 26.7 grams.
