An attractive original watercolour painted probably in the 1940s or 1950s by SYDNEY L MOSS. Little is known about this artist but his works occasionally appear in the salerooms along the south coast of England. This painting shows a continental landscape with a track passing a field of vines, leading towards a small village or farm. It is signed lower right and inscribed on the reverse "Provence". Condition is good for its age - around 60 or more years old. The colours are fresh. There is the odd tiny surface blemish and some old tape residue on the reverse.
