Vintage Villeroy & Boch Dinner Plate "Le Ballon" Pattern / Copenhague Up for auction is a vintage porcelain Villeroy & Boch Dinner Plate, in the "Le Ballon" Pattern. This "Floriane survolant Copenhague" Dinner Plate depicts a Floral Scene with Flowers and a Butterfly on a Hot Air Balloon, flying over Copenhagen. The plate measures approximately 10.25 inches in diameter, and its design is taken from Jean Mercier's famous watercolors. The pattern was made by Villery & Boch, in Luxembourg, between 1984 and 1988, and is now discontinued. The dinner plate has never been used, and is in near mint condition, with bright, crisp colors. Please note that some of my photographs tend to distort the colors, making it appear as if there is a yellow hue to the plate.
