GENUINE VILLEROY & BOCH PETITE FLEUR - TWO (2) 9 1/2" OVAL SERVING PLATTERS OR PLATES.. PRISTINE CONDITION.. MADE IN LUXEMBOURG SOMETIME IN THE EARLY 1980s to the early 1990s Please see the pictures below for the actual items you are bidding on.. you are bidding on a beautiful matched PAIR of two (2) genuine Villeroy & Boch, France, 9 1/2" x 6 1/2" oval serving plates.. in the extremely popular Petite Fleur pattern.. checking Villeroy & Boch's own Web site, they no longer sell this model plate.. apparently this was in their catalog under the name "Pickle Dish".. please see the high-quality photographs below, which i shot this morning - they are the actual plates you are bidding on.. they belonged to my late Mom, who bought and collected a LOT of Petite Fleur items many years ago.. it was her favorite china pattern.. close inspection reveals no cracks or chips on these gorgeous items.. they are a matched set of two identical, genuine, Villeroy & Boch Petite Fleur.. she kept her collection of Petite Fleur behind the glass doors of her china hutch.. our family never, to the best of my recollection, ate off any of them, nor did they go through a dishwasher.. although they are described as "pickle dish".. you could serve pretty much anything you wanted to on them.. sandwiches, a salad, a hamburger.. asparagus.. whatever.. why they call them pickle dish i have no idea.. the pickle police will not throw you in the slammer if you serve burgers on them.. (although if this concerns you, you could certainly call the pickle police and ask :-) .. i believe these were originally made and sold in the late 1980s or early 1990s, at least that's when my late Mom bought these.. they've been in safe Storage for a few years, and are "retired" and no longer made by Villeroy & Boch.. the pictures below are the exact pair on which you are bidding.. i've photographed them from different angles, including the bottom of one of them which shows they are genuine Villeroy & Boch, made in Luxembourg.. each is adorned with the lovely little flower pattern against pure white vitreous china of the highest quality.. each plate measures about 9 1/2" across the long way, and about 6 1/2" across the other way.. they were made in Luxembourg.. NOTE: for some reason, i found three of these in my Storage locker w i house my late folks' possessions.. did my late Mom buy three?.. i have no idea.. and i will never know until i open more boxes.. so.. rather than sell them as a trio, (who would want three of them?.. more likely you'd want a pair, or a single).. i am listing this pair and, in a separate auction, a single.. so check my other auctions for one (1) of these identical plates.. if the same eBayer bids on and wins both auctions, naturally i will combine shipping and ship all three together for the same price as shipping this pair, or the single in the other auction.. or you can just bid on this auction and win the pair, or bid on the other auction if you just want one.. all three plates are 100% identical.. holler if you have any questions.. more Petite Fleur to come as i work my way through the selection i have left from Mom's collection..i will pad and over-box, inside a USPS Priority mail box, and ship to you fully Insured with free Delivery confirmation, to any US Zip code.. due to the extra care and materials required in packing these plates, shipping will be $12.50. this is not an excessive price when you consider the final weight, the materials, time, and expertise to pack them to survive the travails of transit.. check out my feedback.. i've sold and shipped MANY fragile items, china and Crystal, and never a single item arrived broken.. still, all my shipments are Insured, and Insurance is built into the shipping price.. i NEVER make Insurance optional.. i will ship ONLY to US Zip codes.. if you are OUTside the USA and you want these, then have a USA friend or relative with a US shipping address bid on them for you.. i w...
