I guarantee that these are original photographs, not modern prints. Please note that we have reduced the sizes of the pictures to avoid long load times. Please check the actual sizes given in the auction. A pair of Press pictures showing Vincent-powered machines prepared for record attempts. The top picture comes from New Zealand and shows Wright (I’m quoting from the caption on the rear) aboard the Black Lightening solo taking off for the first of his runs. This picture measures 10 inches x 8. Sadly, t is some staining and a small tear at the bottom but, fortunately, these are well clear of the actual machine image. The second picture was taken at a Christchurch, New Zealand, theatre lounge w the machine was displayed after it broke “both records”. This one has a date of 1955 and is possibly a different machine, for the driver in this case was Burns. This picture has been airbrushed for reproduction purposes but this could be wiped away if required. It measures 8 inches x 6 and is undamaged. I’ll be listing a number of items dealing with motoring, auto and motorcycles this week - on both the US and UK ebay sites - please check them out.
