This is one of four of The MASTERS Art Collection PTL Paintings (litho as described is for sale). It is shown as close ups and the actual size. Click on the picture for more views. The series is called "The Life of Christ" and this litho is of: "Come Unto Me; RARE FIND: The complete set of four religious art prints, beautiful lithographed reproductions of the original art created by Joseph Wallace King, and given to the Reverend Jim Bakker and the PTL Club, Charlotte, North Carolina. Prints measure 12 by 11 inches wide, image fills entire print (not bordered), printed in 1980 on high-quality textured paper. Artists signature and date(facsimile) appear on at lower left corner of three prints (and does show on print of Mary and the baby Jesus in the bottom right hand corner). The artist says flowers at lower right represent purity, thorns at lower left represent the crown of thorns worn by Jesus, and the three trees at left side of print represent the three crosses. This set is a real collectors item, hard to find, and this print is LIKE NEW almost 20 years after publication. Joseph Wallace King (1912-1996) was an American painter. He wanted to be an acrobat, but lost his left arm early in life. He served in the North Carolina State House from 1950-1952. He travelled to Florence to perfect his portrait painting, and the Florentine background can be seen in a lot of his paintings, including this one. He signed his paintings Vinciata, a moniker he adopted after being told that Joe King was a common name. During his illustrious career, he painted portraits of Richard Nixon, King Fahd and the Saudi royal family, Queen Elizabeth, the R.J. Reynolds family. This bio was from a wonderful site on vinciata.
