VINT HALLOWEEN J.CHEIN TAMBOURINE W/ HOWLING BLACK CATS

A companion piece of sorts to the other JOL tambourine by J Chein that just ended this evening- this is Chein also from about the same time period of the 1920's. It is a finely made tin tambourine featuring howling cats with ragged teeth, ragged tail and ragged fur on a brick wall. The graphics are great on front and the rim is decorated all around with JOLS, witch,cat, and crossed brooms. The (early) round Chein marking and patent applied for are written on the side of the tambourine, very clear. All 8(4 pairs) silvered metallic clackers are t and are in great shape,lots of silvering left. The backside is solid sky blue paint. Size is 7" diameter. Condition is quite fine on this one- the front is vibrant deep orange and black,slight wear on the black and some tiny scratches that are very minor on the cat on the right. Also, that is camera lighting on the left cat's tail.I would say that the paint is 85% perfect, slight wear on rim, the back side is near perfect! T is a small spot of darkening near one of the clackers, slight rust perhaps but could probably be removed if desired, no scratches, very very clean. This vintage example is one of nicest you'll see considering it's age. It would be a very fine addition to any Hallowe'en collection. Description is guaranteed , No Reserve.
