Up for bid is a great old heavy silver necklace featuring the Phi Delta Theta fraternity crest. The crest is in great shape, with all detail clearly seen and no smoothing or fading at all. The necklace has a heavy link chain, which measures 16" end-to-end. It has a working heart shaped clasp. The crest measures 1 1/4" tall. I cannot find a mark anyw on this, so no way to tell for sure the metal content. Looking closely at the item, particularly the back of the crest and portions of the chain, t is some fading or rubbing through of the metal. Slight yellow or brownish discoloration, which is either rust or the color of the actual metal , which is starting to show through.
