This is Coro-Craft's famous "Blow Fish" brooch. It's a book piece and is valued very highly by collectors. This is the original ... not a reproduction. It is marked on the back "Sterling Coro-Craft." It has a gold vermeil over sterling silver. This was made in the 40s, during the war years ... because pot metal was needed for the war effort. It has a gorgeous blue crystal in its mouth with pink crystal eyes. The different shades of blue, white and pink enameling on its fins is in very good condition. The fins are also accentuated with small crystals. The body is encrusted with small brilliant crystals. It measures. It measures 3" wide and 2-1/4" at its longest point. This is a collector's dream of owning such an old and wonderful piece of costume history.Winner pays shipping and insurance. All items are shipped by U.S. Priority plus any insurance.
