Vintage Antique 10 Gallon Red Wing Crock Plus Lid - Lid has raised "10's" for 10 Gallons The label reads: 'Red Wing Union Stoneware Company Red Wing, Minn." It is dated December 21, 1915 It measures approximately 16" Tall x 15" Diameter & the Lid is 16" Diameter. The Lid looks superb and fits loosely rather than real tight. It has handles; wire with wood grips, one wood grip is split , but intact (think it is an old replacement). The only issues on the crock rim or bodyare as follows, see pictures: In the middle of the back is an X crack and it does show on the inside. You never see it when this is displayed. T is a minor surface crack on an edge, very insignificant. All in all, a crock of this size and age, including the lid, are rare to find intact, check out what ebay has, nothing like it right now. It is superb looking as a display in a country home or on the patio deck or sun room. Many people use the in garden displays and some like to create an "old timey feeling vignette" with other items of the same era.
