Up for bid is one nurse's St. Francis Hospital lapel pin. It is about 7/8" across and weighs in at 2.3 grams. It is unmarked for gold but I will guarantee it to be 10K or better. When I bought it at an estate sale I was told it was the nursing school pin of the sellers aunt and she dated to the early part of the 1900's. The clasp and pin (has a bend in it) were replace at some point in it's history and are in good working order. It is beautifully engraved with the nurse's name. Saint Francis hospital was in Pittsburgh for many many years and just recently closed. My own sister-in-law graduated from their nursing school in the 1970's. A wonderful addition to any collection.
