RARE Vintage 16 Piece Set Hazel Atlas Moderntone Little Hostess Party Set SierraThis is an adorable set of Little hostess Party dishes by Hazel Atlas Glass company in the rich Sierra colors of turquoise, rust, gold and grey. From the 1940's, it is very rare to find a set in the orignal box with inserts as this is. This set was in my mothers collection and has been packed away for over 40 years in her smoke free home and then mine. It does not appear to have ever been used as all pieces are perfect with no cracks, chips or scratches however as I toke them out of the box for these pictures I found that one grey saucer is missing but there is an extra rust colored plate and saucer. So, included is the perfect turquoise teapot and lid, rust colored cream and suger set, four cups, four saucers and five 5 1/4" plates, 17 pieces in all. The "HA" for Hazel Atlas is on the bottom of each piece. The box has darkened considerably from age and it is hard to read the LITTLE HOSTESS PARTY SET printed on the lid. Box has some rubs and tiny holes here and there but corners are strong and it is not dented and as you can see, it displays fine. FKA 149 is written on the lid...not sure what that means. On the inside portion of the lid is printed "Sierra set like Mother's!" and pictures a little girl looking at her dishes. It also has darkened from age. read more
