This auction is for a vintage 19 pound bench anvil found in an older estate. The elderly gentleman said he had it for ever. T is only a symbol for the maker but I don't know who [ CL or GL or LG or LC in a diamond ] [see pictures ] Also marked PATENT APPLIED FOR and on the other side CHILLED SEMI-STEEL. Horn and bed are 9" long x 3 1/8" wide x 3/4" thick with a 1/2" x 1/2" hardy hole and a 3/8" round hole. Footprint of base is 7" x 5". Height is 4 3/4". Base looks unusual on the bottom because t are 4 different size round half circles at each corner. Looks like 1 1/8" - 1" - 3/4" - 1/2". Also t are 4 different grooves running widthwise 1/2" half round - 5/8" half round - 3/8" *V* shaped and 1/4" *V* shaped. [ see pictures. ] Comes with one hardy as shown in pictures. Besides the marks on the top from use I can find no cracks, chips, damage. All my auctions are sold as found so please email all questions before bidding and thanks for looking. This will fit nicely into a flat rate priority box for $9.80. Insurance is offered and optional and will be determined by the final selling price.
