Vintage Brass Bausch & Lomb Microscope This auction is for a Vintage Black and Lacquered Brass Bausch & Lomb Microscope #35863 with hardwood storage case. Made by Bausch & Lomb Optical Co. Rochester, NY. , Circa 1902 Based on research from "Notes on Modern Microscope Manufacturers" by Brian Bracegirdle 1996. It appears to have all original parts except for the mirror is missing. All brass knobs and mechanical gears work fine. are the specifics: The fine focus works. It has the original stage clips. It comes with a #1 Ocular with minor surface wear, lens good. Comes with 2 brass working objectives, one marked C. Reichert 8a, and one marked B&L 2/3 as seen in photos. It comes with brass objective cases and wood storage case. Case does not lock or close. The Lacquered finish is in good shape with some surface scratches and tarnish as seen in photos. This Microscope is in Excellent working condition for it's age, and is 99% functional due to missing mirror. It was tested and images were very clear and bright, no dust, dirt or fungus could be seen in field of view. Remarkably flat field of view for the age of microscope.
