This is a very rare U.S. Navy black face, 24 hour dial, time only, Chelsea Brass Ships Clock. It is a very stunning example of a Vintage Chelsea Ship clock, with the black face and brass case. The outside diameter of the bezel is 7 1/4 inches and clock dial is 6 inches in diameter. The clock has been running strong for the last two weeks, which is when I acquired it at a local estate sale. The dial reads Chelsea, U.S. NAVY and has an engraved number of 133-35 below the winding arbor. The 8 day movement reads Chelsea Clock Co. Boston, U.S.A., with a serial number of 66695, which dates the movement to 1910. The case back has a serial number of 10129 is yellow brass and does not have Chelsea stamped on it. The case back does not appear to be original. The bezel is red brass and appears to be original. A new proper fitting mainspring key is included.The clock will be double boxed and well padded to provide additional shipping protection. The clock weighs 7 pounds and 7 ounces and will be shipped USPS Priority Mail, with delivery usually in 2 to 3 business days anyw in the U.S. This unique clock is currently running properly, however as with any clock, adjustments may be necessary after shipping.
