This is a priceless collectible ! Up for auction is a 1910 publication of professionnal photographs entitled "Around the World with a Camera." The book was published by the Leslie-Judge Company, Fifth Avenue and Twenty Seventh Street, New York City and the original price was five dollars. It measures 16 1/2" X 11" and contains about 250 pages of photographs.....close to 2,000 photographs of the world at that time, many in America. The photos have descriptive captions beneath them and t are occasional pages of text. The subjects of the photos are too numerous to mention but 's a brief sampling: A Young Woman Stranger's First Day in New York (and four more days) on other pages. Holiday Season of 1908 - Most Prosperous Ever Known, A Fishermen's Paradise in a Great City (New York), Educating the Little Ones in New York's Kindergarten, Hard Working Chinese Who Toll the Soil in Hawaii, Italy the Prey of Fearful Seismic Disasters, Hawaii's Famous Leper Colony, Automobiling a Delight in Porto Rico, The First Modern Battleship Fleet that Ever Sailed Around the World (Sixteen American Battleships), Strange Sights for the Sailors of Our Pacific Fleet, Indian Women of the Great Northwest, Frolics and Pranks of the College Man, Progress of the Panama Canal, and many, many more on any topic you can imagine.. An absolutely fascinating collection of high quality photographs of the world of one hundred years ago. Words can't describe it.
