This rare 6 1/4" handgrip plate was made by Fenton as an ad piece for Gevurtz Bros. located in Portland, OR. The company, established in the late 1800's, must have ordered these around 1910-1912. Virtually all of the lettered pieces I am now selling came direct from John Resnik who did the detective work and wrote the book on Lettered Carnival. Most of mine were his 2nd and 3rd generation "upgrades" and, as you can see, there is outstanding color and iridescence with no damages. Photo 4 shows the bright, even amethyst color. The exterior pattern is "Wide Panel" and Fenton used "Garden Mums" as the blank for their ad pieces. Shipping costs are for lower states, elsewhere will be calculated. Shipping to any other country, except Canada will be to U.S. address only.
