Vintage 1914 Cadillac Automobile Dealer License Plate.

Vintage or antique 1914 Cadillac dealer enamel automobile licenseplate. Plate measures 11 X 6 inches. It has an enamelled surface. Thefront reads "Cadillac 1914." It was probably made for use in dealer showrooms. I expect it is quite rare. The reverse has a four inch long oval maker's printed advertisement reading "The Baltimore Enamel & Novelty Co., Enamelled Iron Signs.... For Advertising Purposes, Drawn and Stamp Work of All Kinds, Baltimore Md. (Maryland.). Plate is slightly bowed from side to side. T is some corrosion on the upper right front (as shown in my photo) that has been overpainted, plus a lesser amount on the left hand edge. Thee are some vertical crazing lines in the enamel. The letters and numbers in the word "Cadillac" and the date "1914" were made slightly raised and are in nice condition, with only a couple very small blemishes. $10 covers shipping and insurance up to maximum value.
