Up for auction is this beautiful 1916 Elgin 14K white gold filled cushion style case mans' wristwatch. It is in excellent condition, a wonderful watch to wear, or add to your personal collection. Beginning wth the dial , it appears to have been professionaly refinished, with luminous hands and numbers. It is in excellent condition. The acryllic crystal is in excellent condition as well, with no visible scratches or cracks. The cushion style case is absolutely beautiful. It is a three piece case, with a plain bezel, and beautiful engravings along the sides. It is signed Fahys BRISTOL GOLD FILLED14K serial number. 573677 . The case has been painstakenly detailed and has a mirror like shine. Overall, the case condition is excellent. T are signs of wear along the case sides and the lug tips (as the recently added photos will show,) but they aren't easily visible without a loupe. T are some faint scratches on the case back and t is a small area of wear at one corner of the case back, and but this does not affect the appearance or the fit of the case. The case back fits snugly. The case back has a beautiful engraving in a diamond design with the initials L MT . The case dimensions are approximately 37mm from lug tip to lug tip, and 31mm across the case, not including the crown. The movement is a beautifully damasked 7 jewelled movement. The movement serial number is 19959761 , which puts the production year at 1916 . I am unsure of when the watch was serviced last, but I have been timing it for the past week and it is keeping excellent time. The crown is in excellent condition, and has the familiar "onion" shape found on many Elgin watches from this time period. The watch comes with a 20mm black Speidel leather band in very good condition. Elgin wristwatches from this time period are rare finds. Don't let this one get away!
