This is a beautifully illustrated miniature biography of Sir Walter Scott in it's original box. It is in near perfect condition for it's age. It is bound in a green tarten silk material and all pages are intact with no damage to the spine. There are photo-plates of the various homes tht Scott lived in Edinburgh and the Library at Abbotsford. The pages are edged with gold The book is marked in the front as "Part of the Emblem Series - Monteith and Sanders Glasgow" and in the back "Ballantyne Press Edinburgh". There is a neatly handwritten commemoration on the flyleaf "Johnnie" with Love Burgie 18.9.18.It comes with it's original cardboard box simply marked Sir Walter Scott.
