A BEAUTIFUL SOFTLY DRAPABLE 1918 VINTAGE DRESS, MOTHER-OF-PEARL DETAILS, Size 10 to 12. This gorgeous dress has several interesting expressions in its fashion genre: t are dangling mother-of-pearl buttons as trim in the front of the bodice, a large fixed mother-of-pearl belt buckle, purely ornamental, AND a fabulous soft fabric! The material is so wonderfully soft and drapable. In looking at it closely, it appears to be a knit but it feels like a wonderfully comfortable flannel. I can see the knit texture in it though. It drapes beautifully! The front of the bodice snaps shut and t is a small collar. The buttons hang in two parallel rows. The slightly dropped waistline is accented with a flap of material like a belt. It is accented with the wide belt buckle in front. This gown slips on except for the snap front. T are exquisite touches that add to a beautiful styling: darts, especially darts in the front of the shoulders, darts and gatherings in the bodice at the waistline and inverted front seams in front and back that allow a soft dovetailing effect. The skirt flares out. The sleeves are gatd at the top, slightly modified muttonchop, and the length of the sleeves are almost full-length and loose fitting. The shade is a gorgeous soft rose pink. This gown is just before the flapper days of the 1920's, most probably between 1912 and 1918, I am putting it more in the 1918 range. The size is qute large a size 10 to 12 with the following measurements: 41" bust, 34" waist and full, free hips. The length of the dress is 48" and the sweep is 88".
