G-r-r-reatGraphics - include Indian, Teepee, Tire Up for bid is this very Unique, Metal/Tin Advertising Sign for "MOHAWK Quality TIRES", in its ORIGINAL state. Measuring: 16" wide x 23-1/2" high, and is a heavy gauge metal, weighing about 4-1/2 to 5 lbs. T are some scratches and flaws, but for its age, looks pretty good. The scenery and graphics on the sign look like litho or screen printing. The black background at the top w the "Mohawk Quality Tires" appears, looks quite crude... you can actually see runs in the black paint... but you can tell that it is original, because the printing is right over those runs in the paint. Check out the photos, I have taken several close-up shots, which actually magnify the flaws, but shows ALL. The coloring is very good, and is better than appears in the photos.... the camera flash tends to gray out the colors. The left side of the sign has a rolled edge that is folded to the back side... looks like it may have been attached to a metal rod (not sure). The Tire Graphic is signed "The Mohawk Rubber Co., Akron, O - 37 x 5 Quick Detachable". T is no date on the sign... but I believe 37 x 5 tire sizes were pretty standard size in the 1920s or 1930s. Winning bidder to add $18 for shipping and insurance. PAYMENT: PayPal is preferred, however Postal Money Orders or Cashier's Check are also acceptable.
