Fabulous set of six antique art glass wine goblets, hard to find six in a set of anything this old and lovely. These are a nice weight glass with paneled bowl in a peach iridized finish, looks similar to carnival glass but is stained or you could call it flashed. The staining compound, which varies with color, is applied with a brush, the glass is then fired in a small furnace. Stem is draped hollow reverse with rings around whole stem base. Bowl and stem/foot are blown in separate molds. Top and bottom bases are polished as commonly found in older elegant glass. Stems stand 7 1/2" high and hold 5 ounces when filled to brim. The style of wine goblet dates around the 1920's period and this style stem was very popular in the victorian era. Goblets are in excellent condition with very little wear to the staining. These appear to be North American but could easily be European maker. They are a prize!!!!!!!
