Presented for auction is this very charming; VINTAGE, (circa 1920's), handpainted ceramic figural peanut dish, manufactured by NIPPON. This finely detailed dish is a blown mold, that is shaped and detailed in the appearance of a large half peanut shell. The outer "shell" of the bowl is also textured and painted as a large peanut and with three oval feet in the shape of small peanut shells. The bottom of the bowl is stamped in green ink with the hallmark of NIPPON and reads: "Hand Painted NIPPON". The bowl measures 8 1/4" in length, 4 3/8" across at the widest point and 1 5/8" high. T are NO chips, cracks or damage of ANY kind and the overall condition of this unusual old NIPPON figural peanut dish is VERY GOOD!
