This tablecloth and napkins was purchased in "the orient".
This is another wonderful treasure from the Suburban Chicago Estate I am liquidating. My clients mother and grandmother were well traveled and have many wonderful treasures from their travels....this is just the tip of the iceberg! This woman traveled to the "orient" in the 1920s, but I cannot confirm if this set was procured at that time; though I believe it was. Set contains a tablecloth and 6 napkins. They are all very fine linen (or silk?) and embroidered with very vibrant colors of flowering tress and bamboo plants. There are also some butterflies flitting about. According to the note of provenance (which you will receive with your purchase) the four corners of the tablecloth represent the 4 seasons of the year. Tablecloth measures about 35" square. Napkins measure about 13" square. All are in very good condition. Please see photos. Please email with questions. 0152-PB
