For auction, fresh from a Pennsylvania estate, a vintage 1920's - 1930's Western Electric Switchboard in very nice condition. The switchboard features a solid oak casing with access via a back door, 30 three-position switches with the old cloth-covered internal wiring, and the good old Western Electric label. The oak casing has a few scratches and bare spots but the patina is just beautiful, and the attention to detail on the hinged door, door knob, overall workmanship etc etc is just excellent. T are 8 orange colored / 7 black colored switches on the top; and 4 orange colored / 4 white colored / 7 black colored switches on the bottom - I am not sure of the significance of the different colors. The switches each have a lamp, which I assume would be lit if the switch connection was engaged, and each switch is also individually labelled with an appropriate identification or telephone number. The whole switchboard measures approximately 17ins by 9 1/2ins by 8ins. A delightful conversation piece for a den or office especially if you have an interest in telephone collectibles from the great old days when they knew how to build real telephones. Please e-mail with any questions. Priced to sell, the Western Electric Switchboard has an opening bid of only $0.99 with no reserve - a real Pennsylvania style auction. USA buyer pays USPS shipping costs depending upon location. Please note the switchbord is quite heavy, so keep the shipping costs in mind when bidding. Pa residents, please add 6% sales tax.
