Vintage 1924 Tacoma Hotel "4 thof July Dinner Menu (RARE) Size Menu: 9 7/8” x 6 3/8” Size News clipping 1914: 15 3/8” x 5” Size News clipping 1925: (the top photo) 9” x 8 ¼” (bottom half) 9 ¾” x 4 ¼” Size Postcard: 3 ¼” x 5 ½” The menu has acquired a little yellowing. On the inside upper left side there is a little darker yellowing and the same down the inside crease. Overall this menu is in excellent condition. No torn or severe bent areas. I have also included news clippings about the Hotel Tacoma employees 1914 & about the Hotel 1934-5 from The Tacoma Daily Ledger. There is one postcard mailed Sept. 3, 1907 to an employee at the Hotel. There are several places were there are creases, but the postcard is not torn. The newspaper clipping of the employees I scanned in 2 segments in order to produce a clearer view. I also scanned a newspaper article in 2 segments. The newspaper these articles were published in was The Tacoma Daily Ledger which later became the The Tacoma News Tribune, currently The News Tribune. FYI The Tacoma Hotel, 913 "A" Street, opened in 1884. The 300 foot long, five story structure was made of red brick and stucco, with white stone trim. Its completion was on of the big events in the early history of the city. The interior of the hotel was modernized and renovated in 1925 but its exterior remained as STANFORD read more
