This is a beautiful and very sexy perfume bottle from the 1920's for a fragrance by Caron, La Nuit De Noel (Christmas Night or The Night of Christmas). My research makes me 99% sure that the bottle is by Baccarat. The stopper is glass and is numbered by hand "87", and the base of the bottle is also numbered by hand "87" so they are a match. The bottle is jet-black glass and is in excellent shape with virtually no wear at all and only a half-chigger on the backside at the edge near the top. The silver label still has some of the original goldish finish to it but I didn't try to shine it or clean it (the silver label, that is) because I like the vintage look of the label. The glass itself, however, shines up to a high gloss finish and is really beautiful. The stopper is excellent and fits like a glove, but the coolest thing about this bottle is the left-over scent in the bottle of the original perfume--it is probably the sexiest perfume I have ever smelled--it is heady and spicey and deep and sensual, full of spices and essential oils and exotic notes that conjure up all sorts of images (at least to me). It is amazing! The bottle is 4 1/4" tall and like I said, is really beautiful, and the aroma of the long-gone perfume will linger in your head for a long time (as it is in mine right now!).
