What a great old alarm clock for your collection. The black bottom has the letters RD and the date 1927, underneath that is says PAT'D March 29, 1927, Patents Pending. In nice shape for being 80+ years old. It has 32 hour movement, a detachable barrel and a steady alarm. The case is nickel. It is 5" tall, the base is 4" wide and it is 4" deep counting the knobs on back. T is a lever to move between Silent and Alarm (the words Silent and Alarm are engraved into the case). All knobs are present on the back. Lettering imprinting on the back between the knobs reads, Patented September 23, 1913, December 1 1925, Patents FDG. The interesting thing about this clock is that when you wind it, it keeps perfect time, the alarm also work but only if the clock is laying face down! When you set it up on it's base, it quits ticking. I don't know how to fix it, but surely it can be fixed. It needs a good cleaning too. I'm not too sure what to put on the case to clean it so I have left it alone. Email me with questions. It displays well.
