For auction is a great old full 1929 calendar with a print done by noted artist Zula Kenyon. It is titled A World of Happiness and can be referenced in the Charlotte and Rick Martin book on vintage calendar artists. The calendar was done by the Gerlach Barklow company. The old print is highlighted by a nice art deco area in gold with a darker green as the main color of the calendar. The old print is attached to a 1929 calendar for the C.E. Jones Company with advertising for monuments and markers. The company was in Shelbyville, Indiana. The old calendar is in great condition with excellent color. I see no signs of damage or staining. The condition would be near mint. I would say the color and condition is outstanding. The old calendar retains the full 1929 calendar pad as shown in the pictures. The piece is framed in a nice old carved art deco frame with gold highlights. T is some mine paint loss on the frame but it really adds to the character and age of the piece. The old backing and hanging materials are still present. The calendar was purchased in a box of prints from an estate sale and the pictured story about bluebirds and Kenyon was in the box.
