For sale is this vintage art deco Sunbeam toaster. This chrome toaster features an intense art deco design on the top as well as along the sides. The toaster is operated by setting the light-dark setting to the desired level, closing the lid, and pulling the middle lever to the left while the lid is closed. This locks the lid down and enables the timer. At the end of the timer, the toaster stops and the lid opens up. The toaster works and will toast bread. The coils don't get as hot as a conventional toaster so it takes a bit longer, but toasts the bread very nicely and more evenly as seen in the picture. The bottom element also lifts up to allow for cleaning of the crumb tray underneath. The toaster is marked "Sunbeam No. B5 Toast Witch Chicago Flexible Shaft Co. Chicago U.S.A. Parents Applied For Volts 110-120 Watts 660" on the back. The Model B-5 dates to 1930 and can be found in the Sunbeam Catalog No.41. This toaster measures 11 3/4" wide by 10" tall and 8 3/4" deep including plug and with the lid open. It measures 4 1/4" tall with lid closed. There are some small rust spots on this piece, but most of the chrome is intact. Please see the pictures for a more detailed description. Parcel Post shipping is free to the contiguous 48 states.
