VINTAGE 1930's CANADIAN PORCELAIN ENAMEL COCA-COLA DOOR PUSH This is the earliest & rarest of the different Coca-Cola porcelain push plates that were made for the Canadian market from 1937 thru to the early 1950's! The largest in size at 13 1/2" tall & 3 1/2" in width & by far the heaviest of the varieties! This form of advertising would be seen on the front door of your local Soda Fountain encouraging you to purchase their product instead of the competition! Superb color & a mirror-like shine on this piece with remarkable "shelving" between the colors that can be felt as you rub your fingers across the sign! This you will not find on the later examples which are somewhat flat to the touch! As you can see in the photos both brass grommets are intact & the piece lies absolutely flat with no warping whatsoever! No scratching, no fading, no touchups, no missing grommets & no warping! There is a tiny rub at 7 o'oclock at the yellow edge that appears to be in the manufacture! This piece has been in my collection since the early 1970's & is simply as clean an example as exists & nobody alive has owned more Canadian porcelain than I have! Would make a wonderful addition to any Soda fountain, Ice cream parlor,Diner,Luncheonette,Drugstore, Apothecary,Malted milk,Syrup dispenser,syrup bottle or vintage Straw holder collection!!
