This auction is for a very rare and one of the greatest cameras ever made. No reserve. The camera is from the 1930's of which very few were produced, being very expensive. Production of this type not surviving WWII. The camera has two lenses on the front and was made by Carl Zeiss. At the top the view finder cover says Contaflex, and is in it's original leather case. I did not use it to take a picutre, however all knobs move smoothly, and the shutter mechanism works, no chipped or cracked lens, and seems to be in order. Due to the age and non use in recent years a though cleaning and servicing would be vised. missing is the knurled knob with screw which holds camera in leather case. Case has name of my late father, who purchased the camera in Germany in the 1930s penned in the leather. He liked the camera better than his Leica. Shows appropate age and use, consistant with wear and tear, for the age of the camera, no abuse. A rare opportunity to aquire a rear camera. Insurance is mandatory at buyers expense. We will not mark as "gift" or a reduced value for customs purposes, please do not ask. Being sold as is. Inspection available. I was hurt in an automobile accident and are dependent on others to take me to UPS or USPS, so please allow 4 days for me to get this off. If this is a problem let me know.
