Vintage 1930's Rare Cowboy Loye Parlor Guitar! Only one on eBay for a long time that I know of! From an estate. Was very dirty, with neck loose, etc.. I reglued the neck, setting the action down a little, measures approx. 3/16" at 12th fret. Guitar in pretty good overall shape for one of these. Guitar measures approx. 36 3/4" long by 9 3/4" upper bout and 13" lower bout. Usual nicks, scratches, etc.. Does have about 3 cracks in top (see picture 12, shows worst crack), I glued these to seal them some. Couple very slight cracks in back. Headstock had a slight crack that I reglued. Ladder braced (looks like it is missing one of the braces inside). Neck is slight "V" shape. Original tuners in good working order. New strings. Frets and fretboard have usual wear for an old one. Still playable in my opinion. Nice old bluesy tone! Cowboy Loye sticker inside sound hole! Cowboy Loye's real name was Loye Donald Pack. He was born on June 3, 1900 and died in 1941. He was a ranch hand in Nebraska before turning to music. He worked with another country singer "Just Plain John". Cowboy Loye was one of the most popular entertainers to grace the stage of WWVA Jamboree in Wheeling, WV. He also was a radio star. Please take a look at the pictures and email with any questions. Again, the guitar is playable in my opinion, but could be restored more perhaps.
