You are bidding on a Vintage c. 1930 Bohemian (Czech) Gilt Brass Venetian Harlequin Glass Champleve Enamel Lavaliere Necklace.
These highly desirable true Bohemian Venetian Glass pieces are very hard to come by as they were infrequently made and are especially hard to find with rare Harlequin Glass. This gorgeous Czech necklace is in the true classic Bohemian motif with a triple/triple Lavaliere style. The necklace is constructed with numerous brass spring rings of various sizes and t are green seed beads separating the lovely Venetian Harlequin Glass links. T are 5 sizes of Venetian Harlequin Glass beads in 3 shapes - sps, ovals and half domes. The largest 2 sp sizes have wonderful brass granulated caps. T are 3 colors of enamel paint - green, blue and red - on the outer surface of the 3 modified square pressed brass plates and each of the 3 plates have a sawtooth prong-set glass bead in the center. The enamel style is champleve. This overall design also lends itself to a pleasantly full three dimensional high relief appearance. T is the Czecho-slov mark stamped into the clasping jump ring. The necklace is in very good condition, considering it's age, with no missing, cracked or gouged glass or enamel and the outward brass on the 3 plates is shiny, consistent and fully intact, however the brass wire, rings and caps are no longer gilt. The necklace measures 18" interior length, 3/4" in Max. width, hangs down 2" at the direct center and has a working brass spring ring clasp. In addition, the necklace is surprisingly light and indeed of the typical solid Czech construction of renown. Thank You for looking, reading and perhaps bidding...if so, Good Luck!
