This auction is for a wonderful vintage 1930's art deco sculptural chair. Gorgeous exaggerated swooping bentwood arms with a slated back and xtra high curving seat with original fabric. Very old label on bottom which is in German and seat brackets made in germany.Chair seems to be made of solid mahogany with a mahogany veneer on the arms for a cleaner look. Chair is in excellent solid vintage condition. T are some minor nicks and t and a few small spots on 1 of the arms w the veneer has been damaged. T is also a crack on the bottom back board below w the seat rests. This crack does not affect the sturdiness of the chair. Fabric seems to be original since I dont see many tack or nail holes. Fabric is in excellent condition with very minor wear. Overall this is a stunning chair to add to your art deco or mid-century modern decor. measurements are as follows Width 25.5" Depth 27" Height 28" This chair will be shipped through greyhound and must be picked up at your local station. Shipping will be $75.00 to anyw in the continental U.S. Local pick-up or arranging your own blanket-wrap shipper is always welcome.
