Grays Pottery Charger This is a very decorative Grays Pottery charger in pattern A4199. It is profusely decorated with hand-painted flower heads and foliage in tones on mustard yellow and orange enriched with gilt borders and detailing. This piece carries the N2 'hand-painted' backstamp and so dates from 1933 to 1950. Stylistically, in our opinion this piece dates to the 1930s. It is superbly painted and in excellent condition. It measures 13.75" in diameter. We specialise in the decorative and applied arts from 1860 to the present day. We buy and sell good design and decorative objects including (but not limited to) Poole Pottery, Ruskin Pottery, William de Morgan and Dr Christopher Dresser. We are interested in works of Northern Art and in particular the work of Brian Bradshaw. Our stock covers the major style periods - Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern.
